Abstract

The Library is a source of knowledge. The literacy process will run well by providing the best facilities for its students. SD negeri Sungapan has a library that has not been maximized its function, due to the absence of library management services. The library as a center and learning resources are really needed to create active, creative, effective and fun learning that supports the achievement of learning goals. In this study, researchers aim to describe the implementation process of library optimization and efforts to increase student reading interest in SD negeri Sungapan. Data collection methods were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. This study uses qualitative methods. The findings in this study show the results of: (1) the implementation process of optimizing the library function of SD negeri Sungapan, and (2) the implementation of literacy SOP activities for SD Negeri egeri Sungapan students to increase reading interest of SD Negeri Sungapan students.
