Abstract

The socialization of fermentation and silage for animal feed in Tanggulkundung Village was conducted to increase farmers' understanding and skills in processing quality feed that lasts longer. This activity aims to introduce feed preservation methods through fermentation and silage as a solution to the limitations of fresh feed during the dry season. Using local raw materials, such as elephant grass, this socialization involved hands-on demonstrations as well as training for farmers to be able to practice the technology independently. The results showed an increase in farmers' knowledge and ability to apply fermentation and silage techniques, which is expected to support the sustainability of livestock businesses in Tanggulkundung village. In addition, this technique is also expected to reduce feed costs and increase livestock productivity, thus providing economic benefits to local farmers.
