Abstract

The development of scrapbook learning media in thematic learning is based on several things including: 1)
Learning that is only centered on thematic subject books, 2) teacher-centered learning, 3) In the learning
process only using blackboard media so that students feel bored. To overcome this, it is necessary to
develop the right media. Therefore, researchers in this study used scrapbook learning media so that students
did not feel bored in participating in learning and could attract the attention of students to take part in the
learning process, especially thematic subjects. The objectives of this study include: 1) Produce
development products in the form of scrapbook learning media, 2) Describe the development of scrapbook
learning media, 3) Describe the level of attractiveness of scrapbook media for third grade students at SDN
Deket Kulon. The sample used in this study was class III students at SDN Deket Kulon totaling 21. The
research method used in this study was the research and development method with the Borg and Gall
development model and used 9 steps of the 10 steps of the development process including: 1) Research and
information gathering, 2) Planning, 3) Product Development, 4) Initial Trial, 5) Revision, 6) Field Trial, 7)
Revision, 8) Field Test, 9) Final Product Revision. The results of this study, the first on the development
of scrapbook learning media, language validation got a value of 92.5% (Valid), the results of media
validation got a value of 97.5% (Valid), the results of material validation got a value of 87.5% (Valid) .
Second, at the level of student attractiveness with a total of 21 students, the score was 95.7%. It can be
concluded that scrapbook media development products can be used in thematic learning and attract and
motivate third grade students in the learning process.
