Telaah terhadap Konsep Hifz An-Nafs dalam Kebijakan Majelis Ulama Indonesia di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract
At the end of 2019, the Covid-19 virus surprisingly emerged, which quickly spread to various parts of the world. WHO (World Health Organization) as a world health organization responds to this and expresses an attitude that this is a global pandemic. WHO calls on people to maintain their distance from each other and comply with health protocols. Based on the statement, this regulation has an impact on religious rituals, one of them is Muslims, such as congregational prayers, Friday prayers to the implementation of Hajj and Umrah. MUI issued a fatwa related to this issue, one of which carried the concept of Hifz an-Nafs, namely protecting oneself, which is one of the concepts of al-Dhoruriyat al-Khams or often referred to as Maqashid as-Shari'ah. This concept cannot be separated from the polemic among the community, because of the clash between biological and theological problems. By using the Maqasid as-Shari'ah Jasser Auda approach to dissect the Hifz an-Nafs issue raised by the MUI.
