THE EXISTENCE OF WOMEN IN SPREADING ISLAMIC DAKWA THROUGH THE FUNCTION OF THE MOSQUE IN CHROY METHREY CAMBODIA
Abstract
When we read the literature on women's prayers at the mosque, the scholars said that women were better off staying in their homes and not leaving their homes except in an emergency. Likewise with the hadith that prohibits women from praying in the mosque. This is a wrong conclusion. However, actually the mosque in the community is very quiet and not maintained if you have to wait for the role of men alone. So, the construction built here is patriarchy. To erase this, women are permitted to enliven congregational prayers at the mosque. Also as a symbol and contribution of a woman in the welfare of the mosque. Moh Roqib explained that the need to optimize the mosque as a center for empowerment, as a place for learning and teaching, listening to pronunciation and lectures, tadarus, and even cleaning and tidying items after congregational prayers and recitations conducted at the mosque. as in Cambodia, the Chroy Methrey community functioned the mosque not merely as a ritual. but a place to study and even play in the courtyard of the mosque also in Perbolehkab. however, for women, the mosque can be close if we care as well as caring for one's own home. For example, folding prayer mats, mosques, tidying mukenah and sarongs, tidying slippers, cleaning mats or mosque carpets, cleaning mosque windows, washing dishes and turning off electricity after use and closing mosque doors.
