Abstract

Family parenting culture has a huge impact on an individual's life after adulthood. The ethnoparenting model is considered to be one type of parenting in which there are value systems in providing care to children based on the seven elements contained in it by prioritizing the preservation of parenting culture that has been provided by parents for generations. Local parenting studies by taking a prominent community figure in an area in Wadas Kelir is important to do with the aim of knowing the characteristics of parenting in the family tradition.  The type of research chosen is field research, with data collection techniques in direct interviews to the families concerned, namely Mr. Samsul Hidayat and the community and close relatives. In data analysis techniques, researchers will start with the process of data reduction, followed by the presentation and verivikation of data. The results of research on ethnoparenting in family culture (case study of Mr. Samsul Hdiayat's family) are (1) strong religious beliefs and istiqomah can lead Mr. Samsul's family to family welfare, (2) the existence of flexible parenting patterns by using a mixed parenting pattern authoritarian and democratic makes his sons and daughters achieve and easily socialize well in the community environment, and (3) the habits that form a culture of parenting  in the family makes a religious family culture well created.
