Abstract
The flow of modernization and digitalization will be a challenge for mankind, especially children's education. Smartphone needs and trends cannot be blocked, let alone stopped. Therefore, to work around this as an alternative way of educating children is to strengthen the parenting pattern of the family. As the first and foremost education, the family has a central point to instill commendable morals for children. The parenting pattern of each family in Indonesia varies, each family applies a parenting pattern based on the ethnic culture in which they live. There are Javanese, Sundanese, Padang, Batak and so on. The author takes the Sundanese as a study of parenting patterns. The purpose of the research on the Sundanese parenting pattern is to explore, identify and integrate the curriculum materials used with the values ??of Islamic teachings. The research method used is by using a qualitative approach, the data collection technique is to use interviews, observation and documentation studies. The curriculum material implemented in the Sundanese parenting pattern is to get used to behaving politely from an early age, upholding gathering customs, getting used to polite language and strengthening education with Islamic values. The material for parenting Sundanese tribes is in harmony or integrated with the values ??of Islamic teachings, namely imitating the morals of the Prophet Muhammad (QS. Al Ahzab: 21), gathering or congregating or deliberation to strengthen ties of kinship because of Allah (QS. Ali Imron: 103), speaking gentle, polite, calming (Surat Thoha: 44) and instilling or prioritizing to seek religious knowledge (HR. Bukhari no. 71). The result of the integration of the Sundanese parenting pattern material with the values ??of Islamic teachings is to instill commendable character in the moral, social and spiritual aspects of children.
