Abstract
Indonesia is a country that has the largest archipelago in the world which is famous for its various tribes and cultures. In managing this diversity, parents are able to map problems and develop various programs in child care which are a necessity and a challenge, with the existence of local parenting efforts are made to improve the quality of parenting through various local parenting studies. This article aims to describe the main values ??in nurturing Indonesian ethnic groups. The method used in this study is the library research method, researchers collect data through literature reviews, books, notes and various forms of reports related to the main values ??of nurturing Indonesian ethnic groups. In analyzing the data, the researcher used three steps, namely reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results obtained in this study that the Indonesian state is a country that is rich in diversity and each region has a unique diversity of traditions and cultures, including in the field of child care which has its own main values, namely divine values, human values, the value of nature and environmental conservation, and the value of gotong royong in society.
