Ethno Parenting: Model Pengasuhan Anak Pada Suku Komering Bangsa Indonesia

Abstract

Komering tribe has its highlights for other tribes in Indonesia. The highlight of the komering tribe is his great speaking style that assumes that the children of the komering tribe are rude and grumpy. So this research study introduces how the parenting model of the parents of the komering tribe and changes negative perceptions in children of the komering tribe. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and interviews. Data analysis techniques with the Atlas.ti 9 version application program. The study results proved that the parenting model of the komering tribe parents did have an accent and a firm and straightforward speech style. The komering tribe lives in the long, vast, heavy banks of the Komering River, and it does not allow residents to speak with low voice intonation. So that, the habit of speaking straightforwardly and firmly decreases to his children. Komering tribal children have the characteristics of brave, a leader's soul, empathy, good socialization, tough and exploratory because it coexists with forests and large rivers.
