Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore aspects of social and moral institutions of Confucianism, especially for people with disabilities. Data are taken from the Confucianism Scriptures (Si Shu and Wu Jing), interviews with Confucianism devotees, and writings on Confucianism. This research results Confucius' teachings were used as a guide for the people including moral norms to Tian (God), the government and others. This is the realization of the 5 virtues in Confucius (1) yen (empathy) being gracious especially with people who are limited physically and psychologically, (2) li (obediently) in order to be a righteous servant in deeds, (3) yi (responsibility) to be able to uphold the truth, (4) chih (wise) as a basis for being wise, and (5) hsih (believing) as the basis for realizing loyalty, especially for people with physical or material deficiencies. Realizing the five to be li xue selves (putting forward ratios) in order to be xin xue (wise) selves and realizing peace. If you are unable to realize all five then become the self that She Qin (bad personality). Confucianism teachings uphold an attitude of caring for others. However, there has not been found explicitly concern for those with physical, psychic, psychic and physical, material, and other limitations. Confucius' teaching when properly and properly implemented the people of Confucianism became universally loving selves.
