Mental health is a problem faced by modern society; the attitude of prioritizing material welfare, the crisis of meaning, and alienation from religion are the main problems of modern society. This contemporary study aims to understand mental health based on the ethical perspective of Ibn Misakawaih. Meanwhile, the issue raised in this study is how Ibn Miskawaih's thoughts on ethics can be applied to understand and improve mental well-being. The research method used in this study is qualitative; the data source is the literature from Ibn Miskawaih's primary ethics book. The data is then analyzed and linked to the mental health problems of modern society, while the writing technique used is the descriptive-analytical optical approach. The results of this study show that the science and practice of ethical teachings are related to the psyche and mental health. Ibn Miskawaih's ethics emphasize taking care of the soul because it is the soul that is the divine faculty. The soul needs to be maintained and glorified, and there is a need for a balance in the use of rational reason in the implementation of daily life; the goal is to achieve mental well-being.
