Abstract

Concern for disability issues has begun to grow in the last 10 years, the issue of equality for disabled groups, promotions, and social actions has begun to be developed. Disability inclusion then became a new phrase in social life. However, the challenges, obstacles, and fears of parents with children with disabilities have not yet found their expected place. Researchers conducted this study, using a qualitative approach, descriptive type. The subjects of the study were the association's administrators or at the same time parents of children with disabilities who were consistent in the disability inclusion program for the last 3 years. The results of this study indicate the philanthropic practice of families with children with disabilities in the disability inclusion program at the Mutiara Hati Pakis community, among others, encouraging parents with children with disabilities to open up to society and public activities. Furthermore, the willingness to pay membership fees, build partners, both government and NGOs, free therapy for children with disabilities, budget advocacy and others. In fact, collective awareness for the rights and future of children with disabilities is the main thing in the practice of philanthropy in the Mutiara Hati community
