NILAI-NILAI ISLAM DALAM BUDAYA MAWAH DAN UPAYA PENGENTASAN KEMISKINAN DI ACEH

Abstract

This research departs from an Acehnese cultural issue, namely mawah which is a cooperative business concept and plays an important role in the life of the Acehnese people. This study will explore two main issues, namely an analysis of Islamic values ??in the mawah culture, and how the impact of the mawah culture on poverty alleviation in Aceh. This research is a field research, with a qualitative design through a normative-philosophical approach. Data collection methods are carried out through interviews, observation and review of previous studies related to this paper. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between religion and culture is not a separate entity, just as the mawah culture practiced by the people of Aceh, is inseparable from Islamic values ??in it, such as the embodiment of the principle of ta'awun (please help), adhalah. (justice) and musawwamah (equality in business relations) are contained in the mawah culture. Based on the principle of law in mawah, it is very clear and in accordance with what is regulated in Islam. The author interpreted that the basic values ??contained in the relations and relations of the parties united in mawah were taken from the concept of mudaraba in Islam, which later in Acehnese culture was called "Mawah". Meanwhile, with regard to the mawah culture that exists in the Acehnese people, it has been able to accelerate the wheels of the community's economy, which is marked by the development of the practice of mawah into various methods and mechanisms for profit sharing from agreements between parties, such as in the practice of mawah aneuk nang, mawah asoe ek, and ordinary mawah. Based on this description, that the culture of mawah and Islam is a single entity, so that it is a form of Islamic values ??and is represented through practices that guarantee the rights of the parties in the mawah union. In the context of this research, the authors interpreted that mawah as a representation of Islamic values ??and the culture of the Acehnese people could be a strategy in addressing the problem of poverty in Acehnese society.
