Abstract
This study aims to describe the development of a measurement tool that has reliability and validity to evaluate the reality counseling model based on Islamic boarding schools. To achieve this, the validity and reliability of the instrument are evaluated through quantitative methods in two different stages. A team consisting of guidance and counseling experts carried out the process of determining the validity of the content and ensuring that the question items in the instrument accurately reflect the conceptual construct of creative thinking in question and in accordance with the conditions of the students. After that, the validity assessment of the concept is carried out using confirmatory factor analysis. The aforementioned investigation resulted in the discovery of a solution of 3 indicators consisting of 24 question elements, all of which showed a score above an important threshold. These successful results confirm the existence of different factors that represent different dimensions of creative and innovative thinking. This study involved 33 students from Islamic boarding schools as participants. The data obtained from the participants were then analyzed using key component analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, leading to the development of a model that showed a good match with the empirical data. This shows the effectiveness of the instrument developed in measuring innovative thinking capacity. In conclusion, this study effectively develops an accurate and reliable tool for evaluating innovative thinking in the field of education. Positive data collection from participants and careful quantitative analysis are the causes.
