Abstract

This study is focused on creating ADEBOT1, an educational robot powered by Arduino, to enhance STEM learning. The drive behind developing ADEBOT1 is the pressing need for educational robots that are innovative, adaptable, and efficient in terms of kinematic performance. Before bringing ADEBOT1 to life physically, its programming was tested through simulations using Google Colab to evaluate the effectiveness of its motion control algorithms. The simulation looked at two primary methods: Product of Exponentials (PoE) and Sequential Transformation (ST) for calculating the robot’s forward kinematics. The findings revealed that the ST method is 2.47 times quicker than PoE, making it ideal for real-time applications in straightforward robotic systems for ADEBOT1. Nevertheless, PoE continues to be important for more intricate systems with multiple revolute joints. This simulation serves as a foundation for refining the programming before ADEBOT1 is physically deployed, ensuring it delivers reliable and responsive performance in educational settings.
