Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, learning Arabic encountered various challenges, especially in terms of methods and technology. Arabic language learning has not been studied much in the perspective of structuralism, because it is often used in the analysis of literature, novels or other works of art. The purpose of this study is to reveal Arabic language learning in Indonesia from a structuralism perspective. This research method is qualitative research from various sources of literature related to learning Arabic from socio-historical to analysis and examples of material, media, and types of evaluation. The results of this study are the classification of the types of methods into 3 types, which we can use as a basis for seeing further developments at the level of material, media, and evaluation of learning Arabic. Learning methods, strategies, and media need to be prepared with careful planning so as to produce results in accordance with the competencies and orientation expected by the teacher. It is hoped that this research can become the basis for further research on Arabic language learning innovations in Indonesia especially.
