Internalisasi Nilai-nilai Moderasi Beragama pada Santri di Pesantren Mafaza Indonesia Melalui Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab

The intolerant, anti-state, and excessive religious attitudes that occur in some Islamic boarding schools are the result of an incomplete understanding of Islam. The purpose of this study is to provide a complete understanding of Islam to the millennial generation in Pesantren Mafaza Indonesia by naming values such as al-tawassuth (middle), al-tasamuh (tolerant), and al-muwathanah (love of country) through Arabic language learning, as a form of contribution in efforts to strengthen religious moderation, especially in Islamic boarding schools. The method used in this study is bahtsun maktabiy (literature study), the data collection technique is done by documentation, and the research instrument in this study is the researcher himself (human instrument). The results of this study indicate that the internalization of religious moderation values such as al-tawassuth (middle), al-tasamuh (tolerant), and al-muwathanah (love of country) can be done through Arabic language learning in subjects such as hiwar, nash, nahwu, and balaghah. In hiwar and nash learning, the internalization of these values can be done by exploring related materials, such as material about the Islamic world or the causes of the weaknesses of Muslims. As for nahwu and balaghah learning, the internalization of these values can be done by replacing or adding examples that exist in previous books with new examples that contain the values that want to be internalized in students. This study also shows that the internalization process through Arabic language learning can only be done up to the knowing stage, leaving the next two stages, namely doing and being.
