Abstract

Correct learning strategies encourage students to think independently and creatively while adapting to different situations. The teacher's task in order to improve the teaching and learning process is to stimulate the ability to develop students' desire to learn and develop relevant learning conditions to create a pleasant educational atmosphere. To achieve active and enjoyable learning, it must be based on the following principles: First, focus on the students. Second, develop students' creativity; third, create interesting and challenging conditions, fourth, develop various value-laden abilities; and fifth, provide diverse educational experiences. Researchers found problems regarding the difficulty of learning Arabic; in fact, many students who still have not mastered basic Arabic lessons have difficulty reading, listening, speaking, and writing in Arabic. They also have difficulty memorizing vocabulary, so they find it difficult to form simple words or sentences. The aim of this research is "Teacher strategies for overcoming difficulties in learning Arabic among fifth grade Islamic elementary school students." This type of research is in the descriptive-qualitative field, namely, the researcher goes directly into the field to collect data related to teacher strategies for overcoming difficulties in learning Arabic for class V students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum. The data sources studied were fifth grade Arabic teachers and fifth grade students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum school, and the methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The researcher explained the results of the teacher's strategy for overcoming difficulties in Arabic learning for Class V students at Miftahul Ulum Islamic Elementary School, namely: 1) Effective Arabic language learning objectives 2) Teaching materials in Arabic language learning 3) Methods and strategies used in learning Arabic 4) Media used in learning Arabic 5) Evaluation of Arabic language learning.
