Abstract

Sunan Bejagung Tuban Islamic Boarding School in facing the educational challenges of the digital era. In this digital era, Islamic boarding schools are required to always adapt to increasingly advanced conditions and the demands of society, especially in the fields of education and technology. Sunan Bejagung Islamic Boarding School , in responding to educational challenges in the digital era, applies digital and technology-based learning in accordance with the national curriculum. Even though it implements all-digital education, this Islamic boarding school still maintains the basic values of tafaqquh fiddin through Islamic education, this is because this Islamic boarding school is a Salaf Islamic boarding school . This research uses a field approach research ) with descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research were boarding school caretakers, heads of boarding school foundations, boarding school supervisors, boarding school administrators, boarding school heads, school principals, and students at Pondok Sunan Bejagung Tuban . From the research results it can be concluded that (1) there are supporting and inhibiting factors for the application of technology at the Sunan Bejagung Tuban Islamic Boarding School. (2) educational strategies implemented by the Sunan Bejagung Tuban Islamic Boarding School in the digital era, using Android applications , such as: Zoom meetings , google meet to facilitate learning activities in schools and Islamic boarding schools. For virtual recitations , Islamic boarding schools use channels YouTube , meanwhile, regarding the dissemination of information, there are websites , Instagram and Facebook accounts . The logical consequences of implementing this technology have positive and negative influences, this is a challenge that the boarding school must face in the digital era. Based on the description and data analysis carried out by researchers regarding the strategy of the Sunan Bejagung Islamic Boarding School in Tuban in facing educational challenges in the digital era, the following conclusions can be drawn : Factors that support the implementation of education at the Sunan Bejagung Islamic Boarding School in the digital era are internal factors and internal factors . from parties outside the Islamic boarding school (external ) .
