Arabic Language Learning Strategies and Systems in Islamic Boarding Schools

This study aims to analyze the strategies and Arabic language learning system applied at Ummul Quro As-Suyuty Islamic Boarding School Plakpak Pegantenan Pamekasan Madura. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore various aspects related to the implementation of Arabic language learning at the boarding school. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with pesantren managers, teachers, and students, as well as direct observation of the learning process. The results show that this boarding school implements a learning strategy that focuses on the use of communicative and contextual methods, which are designed to improve students' Arabic language skills in various contexts, both in the realm of religious and social sciences. The learning system implemented includes classical learning in class and direct interaction-based learning, which is supported by supporting facilities such as dictionaries, digital media, and reference books. In addition, the motivation and discipline of students also play an important role in the success of learning. This research provides recommendations for improving the quality of Arabic language learning by paying attention to human resource development.
