Abstract

This paper discusses about what is the relation between secularization and religious securitization, which connected with the ideology of democracy in Indonesia. The writing will be arranged into three parts of the discussion that chronologically have correlation among those discourses. Firstly, I would like to describe the basic notion of the secularism briefly through describing fundamental principles of secularism and society perspective about secularization. Secondly, the theory of securitization will be explained in this section which is elaborated with the religious component in responding secular issues then I would like to explicate such movement in securing religious value in term of Indonesia
