Vol. 6 (2022): THE 6th USHULUDDIN & ISLAMIC THOUGHT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE (USICON)
A. Background
Ushuluddin International Conference (USICON) is an annual international conference hosted by Faculty of Ushuluddin and Islamic Thought, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. This year, the conference will discuss the religion and hummanities in the post covid-19 (endemic) era. During this endemic, religion and hummanities has been changing ini many different way of roles, opportunities and challenges against the pandemic. It is undeniable that the endemic has changed the way many believers around the world to understand and practice their religion and hummanities.
B. Scope and Sub-themes
The purpose this conference is to explore the dynamic of religion and hummanities in facing the role, opportunitis and challenges in the endemic era. This topic will be discussed from the following point of views:
- Philosophy and Human Hope; exploring the manifestations of philosophy and theological perspectives in the context of human resiliance in the endemic.
- Al-Qur’an, Ethics and Human Wellbeing; exploring the ethichal issues and also human wellbeing issues surrounding the post pandemic from qur’anic perspectives.
- Hadith And Ecosystem Sustainability; exploring the ecosystem sustainability issues surrounding the post pandemic from hadith or comparative eco-theological perspectives.
- Women, Gender And Sufism: exploring women, gender in many related sufism perspective in the context of the endemic.
- Interreligious Cooperation In Endemic; the role, opportunities and challenges of religions and hummanities in the struggle of cooperation problems in the time of the endemic era.
- Religion, Hummanities And Welfare: exploring the question of welfare from religion, humanities and philosophical perspectives.
- Virtual Reality and Religion: artistic expressions of religion and hummanities in the context of the virtual reality perspective.
